As the percussive half of rock power duo Clatter, Joe has helped fund his musical endeavors by co-owning and operating a drum store (with wife Amy Humphrey), teaching drum lessons, working in a warehouse full of treasure trolls, packaging software, and helping tend a friend's 250-cat household.
After Joe and Amy moved to Joe’s family farm in central Missouri, they formed two-piece rock band Clatter and proceeded to tour, tour, tour in support of two studio recordings and a live concert DVD, 2004's "Blinded in Boonville," filmed at beautiful Thespian Hall.
Joe is excited to be returning to Thespian Hall for another performance, although this time instead of pounding on his drumset alongside Amy, he'll be watching her and the rest of the cast from the wings as the proverbial "Man Behind the Curtain," providing a subtle sonic landscape that will help to transform Thespian Hall into the bottomlands of the Mighty Mo.
Joe loves to ride his bike around the country roads near the farm, and has recently been introduced to the creative outlets offered by working with fiber in the form of crochet and quilting.
